Biography / CV

Parker McComb (b. 1990) is an American artist and photographer based in Seoul, South Korea. A graduate of Parsons School of Design in New York City, McComb's work navigates the intersection of identity, emotion, and the human experience.

Characterized by a delicate balance of light and shadow, McComb's photography invites viewers to contemplate the duality of human existence. His images conserve fleeting moments of connection and introspection, emphasizing the interplay between darkness and light.

In his evocative Identity series, McComb explores the complexities of selfhood, using masked faces to delve into the tension between societal expectations and personal truth. Drawing from his upbringing, his work challenges conventional notions of identity and unveils the vulnerability beneath the surface through anonymity.

McComb's work has been showcased internationally, including exhibitions at Studio Concrete, The Ryse Hotel, and more. He has also undertaken commissions for the 14th Gwangju Biennale and DEFINE: SEOUL design+fine art fair.
